Urine and saliva panel, you can do from home, to check your cortisol, adrenaline, and neurotransmitter levels.
Having optimal cortisol and adrenaline levels is essential for your health and longevity. The same as true for neurotransmitters, such as serotonin, GABA and dopamine.
When we are exposed to chronic stress and trauma, our built in stress response system – including cortisol and adrenaline – respond as a way of protecting us. However, even when the stress is gone, cortisol and adrenaline levels remain in a stressed-out state. And those levels are not the same for all of us. At the same time, the calming neurotransmitters often become depleted.
For some people, cortisol levels are stuck at a higher than optimal level at some point of the day, or night, or all day. For others, cortisol levels drop too low. The same is true for adrenaline – levels can remain too high or too low.
It all depends on your genetics, your history of stress exposure, your toxin exposure, your nutrient status, and what you do on a daily basis to help reset your cortisol and adrenaline to optimal.
So where is your cortisol and adrenaline at this point in time?
There are well researched substances from nature – nutrients and herbs – as well as activities, that are known to help bring cortisol and adrenaline back to optimal levels, HOWEVER, it’s important to choose the appropriate nutrient or herb based on whether you need your cortisol and adrenaline to go up or down.
Instead of ignoring your cortisol and adrenaline levels, and instead of guessing what to take, the more strategic and effective solution is to first test your levels. Then I can guide you what to take to get your cortisol and adrenaline back on track, and essentially erase the effects of stress in your body.
If we don’t help our bodies recover from stress and trauma, we will be more vulnerable to these affecting our immune system, increasing our risk of health issues.
Instead of accepting the consequences of stress and trauma as a done deal, I want you to know that it is possible to reset and recover.
Once you do this panel I will have all the information I need to guide you to most efficiently resolve the imbalances caused by stress.
The panel is simple to complete:
- Collect saliva samples at four times of day – upon waking, mid-day, evening and bedtime.
- Collect second urine of the day, 1.5-2 hours after waking, and before caffeine.
- Freeze urine and saliva overnight, and ship the next day with the provided label.
- Schedule a call or zoom with me to review your results. That’s when I can provide a plan of action for you.
Please note that if you are in New York, you’ll need to provide an out of state address for the lab to run your panel.
The results take 2-3 weeks from when you mail in your samples.
