Improving your lymph flow is an important part of how humans heal. However, it’s not something your regular doctor discusses in your annual physical, nor does it show up in your blood work. So how can people even have a sense that they should be paying attention to their lymphatic system?
My guest today is Kelly Kennedy, the Lymph Queen and Head Practitioner at the True Wellness Center, who has been helping people improve their lymph function and flow for over twenty years.
I’m so grateful to have her here to share with you what lymph is, how you know if you need help with it, and where you can begin to reset your lymph system. Healthy lymph flow is essential for helping you to clear HPV, so this episode is essential if you have an abnormal Pap.
Understanding the Lymphatic System
Kelly states that all problems you have are a lymphatic problem. What she means is that while not everything is all lymph, everything has a lymph component. There’s not a part of your body that doesn’t have a lymph channel. Every nerve has it, you have glymphatics in your head, you have lymphatics in your gut where fifty percent of your lymph nodes are located, and there are nodes in the pelvic area too.
We’re talking about an entire network of lymph vessels, nodes, organs, and glands, much like our circulatory system that connects all the parts and moves proteins and fluids throughout the body.
Signs You Need Lymph Support
This system works to clear out toxins, pathogens, and substances the body doesn’t need. It’s known as the trash taker outer.
So how do you know you need to take out your trash? You’ll experience headaches, brain fog, sinus issues, sleep issues, hormonal issues, fatigue, skin issues, menstrual related issues, infections, and digestive issues.
The majority of your body’s environment is three times more lymphatic fluid than it is blood. The terrain of the body is predominantly made up of it.
When we’re looking for cancer, we examine lymph nodes, but that’s too late at that point. We need to be looking at the nodes much sooner. In Europe, where Kelly studied, the first thing they do when you have a cancerous diagnosis is go to your nodes. Here in the States, we’re taught differently.
We have between six hundred and one thousand lymph nodes, and most people only know about the tonsils, and many have them removed as children. But we actually have five types of tonsils, and they’re the gatekeepers to the blood-brain barrier.
How the Lymphatic System Works and How to Support It
The lymph is affected by gravity. Unlike your circulatory system, which has a heart that acts as a pump, this system does not have a pump. So we need to use other means to support its movement.
When you diaphragmatically breathe, you’re actually opening up your lymphatic channels. By looking at heart rate variability, we can tell that it’s much better to diaphragmatically breathe than chest breathe. These deeper breaths promote healing, digestion, relaxation, and parasympathetic tone in the body, which is the thing that heals us. That’s how humans heal.
We spend so much time in stress mode, but we need to be able to transition back to parasympathetic, which is the anti-stress system. One of the best ways to do that is by taking a deep breath. Taking a deep breath and pumping your lymph is essential. By opening up your nodes, you facilitate healing.
Exercise and movement are also effective ways to move your lymph. You can also go to see a practitioner who specializes in lymphatic massage and/or who uses devices that support lymph flow.
It is best to learn to massage or pump your lymph every day, which is what Kelly recommends. In this episode, she describes a four step process to support it from home.
How Moving Lymph Helped Dr. Doni Heal
Dancing is a great way to move your lymph. However, a few months ago I broke my foot dancing (Dr. Doni speaking). I wanted to make sure that I could get back to dancing as soon as possible, and to support my body to heal.
Even though I had to be non-weight bearing, I found ways to continue moving. I learned to dance on a knee crutch and did Pilates every day, even more than usual, because I wanted to maintain muscle strength and lymph flow.
I improved my nutrition, avoided sugar and inflammatory foods, and I did more meditation, breathwork, as well as red light therapy so that my body could heal faster. In three months, I was back to dancing on my foot with no pain. The bone fully healed, and my body healed.
Kelly explained that when I broke my foot, the swelling that happened was my lymph system doing a good thing, creating a natural cast. All the platelets that were sent to my foot for healing. The osteoclasts and osteoblasts were breaking up the bone and then rebuilding it, and that was all from the lymphatics.
The circulation part that pulled all that excess inflammation out as I kept moving with dancing was all my lymphatics. The fascia supported all of that around it and was healing and reorganizing as I was dancing and moving differently and frequently. I was also doing myofascial therapy every week.
The Importance of Lymph to Clear HPV
I tell my story of healing to inspire you that your body can heal too. It’s a matter of knowing it is possible and then taking steps each and every day in that direction. It’s not about perfection.
Supporting your lymph also helps to clear pelvic-related health issues, including abnormal Pap smear results and high risk HPV. That’s because the lymph helps to clear out toxins and pathogens, such as HPV.
Healthy lymphatic flow supports your immune system to protect you from infections. It also helps with hormone balance and delivery of nutrients to your tissues.
There are lymph nodes in the pelvic area, just as there are in your neck, and the lymph nodes in the pelvic area can become congested due to sitting for long periods of time, lack of exercise and movement, as well as from pregnancy.
The Power of Personal Choice
Kelly emphasizes that this is all about choice. No matter where you’re at, you can always turn around and go a different direction. Your body isn’t stagnant, it’s not stuck, and it’s not dependent upon your genetics. You can choose your environment. Sometimes that’s scary because you realize you get to choose. But in this process, you start to get more confident, and you learn how to make those choices for yourself and forgive yourself along the way.
The key is finding a practitioner who is going to help you fall in love with you and help you have the practice at home that’s going to assure that you don’t need them anymore. That’s what we’re both teaching people: empowerment and enlightenment to free you from the matrix that we’re all caught up in until we recognize it, and then it’s a choice to get out of the matrix and create your own matrix.

Investing in Your Health: Note from Dr. Doni
With proper support, testing, and natural approaches, women can maintain their health and vitality throughout their whole lives. Remember, investing in your health is not selfish – it’s necessary. Just as we’re told on airplanes to put on our own oxygen mask before helping others, we must prioritize our own health to be able to care for those who depend on us.
The time has come for women to take charge of their health and well-being, understanding that preventive care now leads to better outcomes in the future.
It is also important to know that it is possible to recover from stress and trauma and truly heal, because you’re not likely to hear that from your standard doctor’s office. Keep in mind, they are not educated about diet, exercise, supplements, or stress recovery.
I am living proof that it is possible to heal holistically and naturally. It’s possible to balance your hormones safely and effectively, as well as to clear HPV and get a normal pap result, and to eliminate the effects of stress, trauma, anxiety and depression. I help patients with to do this in my practice every day – by phone and zoom, anywhere in the world. You can set up a one-on-one appointment here.
Once I meet with you one on one, we will create a strategic plan based on your health needs during menopause, including sessions with the health coach on my team to help guide you to implement my proprietary C.A.R.E. and Stress Mastery programs.
If you’re dealing with persistent HPV I welcome you to join my next FREE How to Get Rid of HPV online workshop where I help you to create a plan to get HPV out of your life for good. From there, you might choose to join the Heal HPV Kickstart Program, for the initial steps of my protocol, including diet changes and supplements, over the next 30 days.
Or you can begin with the comprehensive Say Goodbye to HPV Program, which is 3 months and includes everything you need to implement my full protocol and address all eight susceptibilities with live, group support, and access to testing and vaginal suppositories.

You can also go to clearhpvnow.com. There, you’ll find lots of resources and stories from women who’ve followed my protocol and cleared HPV to negative.
