Many women who have successfully gotten back to HPV negative worry about what will happen when they become intimate again – either with the same partner or a different sexual partner. The haunting question remains: Is HPV just going to come back again?
Often women have been dealing with high-risk HPV for a year, five years, or in some cases even more than 20 years. They’ve endured numerous procedures at the gynecology office, treatments, surgeries, and have repeatedly felt extremely afraid that the virus could return, cause abnormal cells, and disrupt their lives once more.
When women follow the Dr. Doni’s HPV Protocol and finally heal their body, gaining their freedom from high-risk HPV, it’s completely understandable that they feel concerned about whether it will recur.
Fear of Exposure to HPV versus Protecting Yourself From It
Some women are in a relationship with the same partner, while others may be dating or entering a different relationship. They ask crucial questions: “Should I be testing every person I date for HPV? Should I avoid intimacy altogether? Should I insist on condoms? What should I do to protect myself?”
Here’s my answer, and it’s very clear and specific. I want to make sure you understand how my approach differs fundamentally from conventional thinking.
The key difference is that I encourage you to focus on supporting your body’s natural ability to protect itself from high-risk HPV – no matter if you’re exposed again, no matter how many times you’re exposed.
Living in constant fear creates its own problems. This fear manifests as “What if I get exposed? What if the person I’m intimate with has high-risk HPV?” Even if you decide to test potential partners, you’d face the impossible task of testing every single time, which becomes extremely difficult and impractical.
You might choose to use condoms, but we must acknowledge that HPV can be transmitted even with condom use. Even if you received the vaccine, transmission can still occur because none of these methods are 100% effective in preventing HPV transmission.
Focusing on the fear of exposure can make us feel trapped, feeling like we can’t connect intimately with other humans. We may become fearful and controlling toward our partners. Many women end up blaming their partners or men in general, when the reality is that HPV is a virus spread by both women and men.
I have found there is a better way to keep HPV negative.
A Revolutionary Perspective: Your Body’s Natural HPV Defense System
At a certain point, we must realize that being exposed to HPV is something that naturally happens to us as humans when we’re intimate and connected with others. We will quite likely be exposed to at least one or more high-risk strains of HPV during our lifetime. 80% of us are exposed by age 50.
However, what’s often not widely understood is that the human immune system, microbiome, and body possess the remarkable ability to protect us from high-risk HPV virus.
This explains why millions of people are exposed to the virus, yet not everyone who is exposed ends up testing positive or developing abnormal cells. We need to fundamentally shift how we view this situation to a proactive strategy.
The Dr. Doni’s HPV Protocol focuses on empowering you to learn how to support your body’s natural ability to protect you from high-risk HPV effectively.
This approach is absolutely achievable – women have proven this to me repeatedly. This isn’t something I learned in medical school, and it’s not something any practitioners typically learn in their traditional training. I discovered this through case after case, observing women who remained in their same partnerships or entered different partnerships, were exposed to HPV again, yet didn’t test positive and haven’t developed abnormal cells again.
This success occurs because women learned exactly what their bodies needed to protect them from high-risk HPV, and they maintain that support going forward.
Building Your HPV Defense Foundation
The first crucial step is following the Dr. Doni’s HPV Protocol to clear the HPV virus and address the underlying causes that were stopping your system from fighting it off initially. This includes diet changes, lifestyle changes, high grade supplements and clinically effective doses, and recovery from stress and trauma.
Once you address the root causes for your case, and achieve a negative test result, I don’t recommend stopping everything you did to help your body clear the virus. Instead, you’ll want to maintain the positive diet and lifestyle changes you’ve implemented.
However, this doesn’t mean that you have to continue taking all the same supplements and doses you used in order to clear the HPV virus. Nor does it mean using various suppositories for the rest of your life. That’s not a sustainable or necessary solution.
The real solution lies in maintenance—understanding what your body needs to maintain a fully functioning, active immune system that protects you from HPV and many other potential infections.
We must shift from a fear-based mindset to an empowerment-based approach, knowing that you can actively support your body’s protective abilities.
While there are basic strategies that benefit everyone, this maintenance approach also requires individualization. You’ll need to work with a practitioner who can help you obtain the right blood work and determine which nutrient doses your body specifically needs over time.
C.A.R.E.: Your Daily HPV Protection Strategy
I’ve developed general strategies that I recommend using the acronym C.A.R.E. for self-care:
- C stands for Clean Eating: Once you learn how to eat clean, you’ll want to maintain this nutritious approach going forward. Clean eating supports your immune system and provides the building blocks your body needs to stay strong and resilient.
- A stands for Adequate Sleep: We must ensure you maintain adequate sleep the majority of nights. Quality sleep is when your body repairs itself and strengthens your immune system, making it crucial for HPV prevention.
- R stands for Recovery Activities: You need to integrate stress recovery activities into your day, week, and routine. This includes practices like meditation, deep breathing, gentle yoga, or whatever helps you decompress and manage stress effectively.
- E stands for Exercise: Include regular movement in your day and life. Exercise boosts immune function, improves circulation, and helps your body maintain optimal health.
All of these elements work together to help your body stay healthy and support your immune system’s ability to protect you from infections like high-risk HPV. You can learn more about this in my book “Master Your Stress Reset Your Health”.
Personalized HPV Prevention Through Advanced Testing
Beyond the C.A.R.E. framework, we need to monitor your blood work to ensure you’re taking the nutrient doses your specific body requires. For instance, what’s your current vitamin D level? What amount of vitamin D should you take daily to maintain optimal levels? The same questions apply to other crucial nutrients and B vitamins.
We need to perform the right tests, such as homocysteine and methylmalonic acid, to measure your B vitamin levels and methylation activity accurately. It’s essential to work with practitioners who can help you access these specialized tests, providing the precise information you need to determine which nutrients to take daily.
We should also monitor your hormone levels, including estrogen, progesterone, thyroid hormones, cortisol, and insulin function. All of these hormones significantly influence your body’s ability to protect you from HPV and maintain overall health.
Additionally, we must consider your microbiome health. If medications, stress, or toxins have impacted your microbiome, we need to work on re-optimizing both your gut microbiome and vaginal microbiome.
Research and clinical cases consistently show that when women achieve optimal health status—including balanced nutrients, hormones, blood sugar, cortisol, neurotransmitters, and microbiome—their bodies can successfully protect them from high-risk HPV even upon re-exposure.
Long-term HPV Prevention Success and Personal Transformation
I hope this gives you genuine hope and practical strategies for maintaining HPV protection into your future. In my experience, I have patients who have successfully maintained a negative HPV result for over 20 years at this point even when re-exposed to the virus. This success stems from following a protocol that addresses root causes and maintaining ongoing support for their bodies over time.
This approach isn’t about seeking quick fixes or taking numerous supplements forever. Instead, we must learn to listen to our bodies and understand our individual, unique needs—your specific stress response, your particular nutrient requirements that may differ from others, and your unique hormone patterns.
Once you understand these individual characteristics, you’ll be equipped to maintain your body’s health going forward effectively. I believe this is why so many women who follow the Dr. Doni’s HPV Protocol describe their experience as a complete transformation. They literally transform their health and their relationship with their body and themselves throughout this process.
Stress Recovery: Your Critical HPV Defense During Challenging Times
Addressing stress and trauma is especially crucial when you’re dealing with high risk HPV.
I always emphasize that during periods of major stress or cumulative stress, our immune system becomes depleted and the microbiome can be disrupted when you’re under significant stress – whether from an accident, injury, another infection, divorce, major life changes, or even menopause – these are precisely the times when you need to support your body more intensively, not less.
Unfortunately, when we’re stressed, we often feel like we don’t have time for self-care. But here’s the critical point: when we’re stressed is exactly when we need self-care the most.
When you recognize that you’re under stress, make it a priority to increase your self-care efforts beyond your current level. This enhanced support will help you navigate through stressful periods and prevent stress from depleting your system. It’s during these depleted states that HPV can potentially return.
This vigilant approach is how the women I work with successfully keep HPV gone permanently.
From Fear to Empowerment: Your Path to HPV Negative
Let me emphasize this crucial point one more time: Preventing a recurrence of HPV is less about controlling exposure to HPV and more about supporting your body to protect you from the virus.
The reality is that most of us will be exposed to HPV at some point. Simply trying to control exposure isn’t sufficient protection. We must focus on the steps we can take to protect ourselves from this virus even when exposure occurs.
This perspective helps me and my patients know that they can go forward into their life and into relationships without being in a constant state of fear. This is why so many women who follow my protocol describe it as a transformation, because they literally have transformed their health and their relationship to their body and themselves in the process.
