I find that children and pets help me the most to take a break. They are inherently in the moment and wanting to connect, so it is easy. I just let them guide me.

I leave my phone at home (or bring it for taking pictures), we walk out the door (often holding hands) and the exploration begins.

This can happen at home, after a short drive to a nearby place, or even a plane-ride away (which doesn’t have to be expensive).
